Called to Serve

Shoes for Orphan Souls, a ministry of Buckner International, has distributed more than 2.0 million pairs of new shoes to vulnerable children in the United States and to orphans in 74 countries around the world. Each pair of shoes represents a child’s self esteem, a child’s health or a child’s access to an education. And we are going to help by having a drive for new shoes on October 9th ourselves.  There will be more information to come. For now, watch this short video from when Students and Adults went out as the Story Church and served at Buckner a few weeks ago.  Thank you to all who served and to the Morphew’s who hosted the cookout afterward.  As we look forward to the shoe drive let’s remember (as they say at Buckner) – new shoes are good for the soul.
